In this installation, we can see another engine in Carlos Franklin’s work: a hand-drawn plane, which appears like it was created by a fax or low resolution printer. We have the impression the machine flies lower, like a landing or departing one. This image fills the exhibition place like a frieze.
Although Franklin refers to the fictions about trips, he examines the notions of depth and high as metaphors of social prejudgments.
